First entering the room you faced a black curtain,
a camera on tripod and a ray of light from the left.
The camera was facing the major part of the room.
When looking through the viewfinder
you looked into a room filled with pictures and notes in chaotic order.
That was the material I went through creating the book.
All displayed in a chaotic order
representing my state of mind.
After looking through the camera, visitors were invited past the curtains,
entering the rest of the room which the camera was facing.
When entering, the room was all white and clean,
with the chaos and the notes locked up in a transparent cube.
The nice and clean room represented my present and the future,
with the chaos and the past constantly present.
Under control.
The illusion of the room covered with all the material
was created by mounting a slide in to the camera.
The slide was a shot of the room when covered by the notes.
I erased the floor in the image
creating an empty space in the slide for the carpet.
When entering the room, visitors were walking on the carpet
that was also seen through the viewfinder.
The carpet was there
but the walls
were empty.
